FreshLime for home services professionals expands to Phoenix –interview with CEO Jay Bean

When it comes to choosing marketing platforms to grow ones’ home service business, those that aren’t tech savvy may struggle and rely on businesses such as Angie’s List, Amazon or Home Advisor to do their marketing for them. As a result, the owner may lose out on building a customer base.

Utah-based FreshLime, a cloud-based business intelligence and marketing automation platform, empowers home services professionals to acquire, manage, retain and engage with customers to extend a relationship past the first visit.
freshlime-4Through their mobile and desktop SaaS solution, professionals can combine high-quality customer leads with a marketing platform that can automate simple tasks such as scheduling and promotions as well as track payments, customers and repeat business, and more.
Jay Bean, CEO FreshLime, chose Phoenix as his first expansion state because of the growing tech community and talent within our state.
“We like that it is close to Salt Lake City, but also it is a great area with a great talent pool that understand Small Businesses.  GoDaddy, Infusionsoft, Yodle, Gannett, and others have operations here.
freshlime-5The Valley also has an attractive consumer base.  “We love this market because of the demographic of the home ownership base. The whole market is expanding dramatically and it’s a great market with the right type of consumers and businesses that are interested in growing,” Bean said.
FreshLime is also bringing jobs to the Valley, “Initial jobs will be sales related,” Bean said. “Others will be customer success focused but that will not happen until 2016.”
Bean shared some advice to other startups, “Understand your businesses-it doesn’t matter what [type of business] you are running-understanding the customer’s needs and really putting the customer first is really the number one thing,” Bean said.
I caught up with Jay at TechCrunch Disrupt who talked about the expansion and the latest coming from FreshLime. Watch our interview here or above.

  1. Very needed for small business owners. Great way to organise and act on data they hopefully already collect.
