The higher education system in Arizona continues to top the charts across the nation. Arizona State University (ASU), Northern Arizona University (NAU) and The University of Arizona (UA) remain dedicated to offering outstanding academics as well as providing a safe and engaging college campus environment.
According to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, about 20 percent of LGBT faculty members and students reported they feared for their physical safety on campus, while 43 percent consider their campus climate to be homophobic. These numbers demonstrate the need for colleges to take an active stance against LGBT harassment and discrimination.
Due to many colleges leading the effort to increase awareness of the historically underserved LGBT community, BestColleges.com released their list of the 30 best colleges in the U.S. for LGBT students and all three top universities in Arizona made the list. ASU, NAU and UA are ranked because they received a 4 or 5 star rating on the Campus Pride Index and their Greek social organizations comprise of one or both of Gamma Rho Lambda and Delta Lambda Phi in a chapter. The rankings are in no particular order and all schools listed meet the methodology requirements.

The University of Arizona (UA), Arizona State University (ASU), and Prescott College are three colleges in the state of Arizona to be rated as academically outstanding by The Princeton Review.
ASU’s eProjects initiative challenges students to take innovative ideas and work with university faculty and outside sponsors to address real-world issues.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) recently compiled a list of the top 1000 universities around the world and ASU, NAU, and UA rank on the list as No. 106, No. 783, and No. 70 respectively.
Entrepreneur magazine announced their top five collegiate finalists for the 2014 contest and one of our own from ASU made the list. Force Impact Technologies are the creators of FITGuard, a mouthguard that indicates the amount of force an athlete endures through a visual display-information from a collision and is synced to their database and an individual’s smartphone.
U.S. News ranked the UA’s Eller College of Management and ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business 21 and 29 respectively out of all undergraduate business programs in the country.
