Arizona has continued to grow in the business sector. As more and more companies decide to locate and grow their businesses in the state the economy continues to grow and develop. Arizona has been ranked as one of the best places for business, ranking number 3 by Forbes and in the top 10 by Chief Executive Magazine. Many of the contributing factors for businesses locating in Arizona, and especially in the Phoenix metropolitan, are a predictable climate, lack of natural disasters, tax incentives, minimal regulation, and the help of the public-private agency with the Arizona Commerce Authority. Now, another large company, Stealth Software, is locating their U.S. headquarters in the valley and plans on bringing 200 new jobs and a $2 million investment into the region.
Stealth Software develops and markets advanced software solutions that integrate applications and infrastructure with content management in cloud computing. Their solutions support customers in managing their IT-Landscapes, reducing their IT expenses, and increasing their security. Stealth Software also offers specific solutions for content store in Microsoft SharePoint and VMwareZimbra. Microsoft SharePoint is a document sharing and workflow application. With all of the projects, sites, files, documents, and apps stored within SharePoint the data storage and recovery can become expensive and difficult to manage which is where Stealth Software helps by only storing the metadata in SQL databases and BLOB data onto any external storage solution. VMware Zimbra includes E-mail, shared calendars, and instant messaging that work together as a complete solution. Stealth Software integrates with Zimbra by using object and cloud storage. It uses simple semantics to recognize file commands and to redirect calls to storage.
Stealth Software is not only going to have these products available at the new Arizona location, but also plans on supporting the valley economy. They plan on hiring 200 new employees with a median salary of $75,000 and investing $2 million into the region. In an interview with the Arizona Republic CEO, Gerard Warrens, states that “I think 95 percent (of those jobs) will be net new jobs into the state . . . We are not bringing a lot of people with us.” Many of these new jobs will be in software development and sales. Furthermore, Stealth Software plans on partnering with Arizona’s universities to develop “internships, to talk about long-term R&D projects.” They plan on driving innovation at the universities to develop new technologies which in turn would continue to help Arizona’s economy and community.
