Clate Mask, co-founder and CEO of Infusionsoft, and Jim Tuton, Founder & CEO of American Traffic Solutions (ATS), were recognized as two of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2013 at the Goldman Sachs Builders + Innovators Summit in Marana, Arizona. The private event brought together emerging and seasoned entrepreneurs from a diverse set of industries. The focus was on building great and enduring companies that reshape their industries and make the world better through innovation.
Mask is leading the company on its mission to create and dominate the market of all-in-one sales and marketing software for small businesses. Under his leadership, Infusionsoft has landed three rounds of venture capital including a $54 million Series C led by Goldman Sachs and experiencing explosive growth-in the last 18 months they have added 240 jobs.
“It’s really exciting to have Goldman Sachs recognize us for our innovation and economic impact,” says Mask. “Infusionsoft is out to change the world for small business. We are making a big difference in the lives of our customers, and when small businesses succeed, it boosts the economy and creates jobs in local communities.”
Under Tuton’s leadership ATS has grown into the industry leader of red-light, speed and school bus stop arm safety cameras.
“I am honored to have been included with this group of visionaries. The opportunity to be among America’s next wave of the best and brightest innovators and share stories and ideas was an inspiring experience,” Tuton said. “The Builders + Innovators event was inspiring and humbling; it reminded me not only of how far our vision has brought us, but also how much further we can go.”
AZTB has been following Infusionsoft’s growth, from their recent CFO appointment, Brent Stumme, to their impressive list of awards, such as the Hire Power Award where they were listed in the Top 20 for the software industry, and 51st in the Top 100 Job Creators; Mask was recently given the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award as the 2013 CEO of the Year by the Phoenix Business Journal.
