Scottsdale-based Trapp Technology, a provider of IT, Internet, voice, and cloud hosting solutions, has acquired ITonCommand, a Colorado-based IT solutions and consulting company. This will allow Trapp Technology to expand its services in Colorado.
“We recognized the intellectual property of ITonCommand could bring value to our current users. The acquisition also adds new services and revenue streams to our portfolio,” Trapp Technology’s creative manager Ashley Capps said. “Additionally, it allows us to sell complementary technology services to former ITonCommand clients.”
The company anticipates an increase of over 15% in annual sales revenue, according to Capps.

The jobs acquired will remain in Colorado in order to expand the company’s physical footprint out of Arizona, according to Capps.
“The absorption of many employees and services—including hosted virtual desktop, hosted Exchange, Microsoft Lync, desktop faxing, and hosted mobility services—broadens Trapp Technology’s already comprehensive IT solutions portfolio and long-term industry knowledge base,” CEO of Trapp Technology David Trapp said.
ITonCommand is also spinning off its security as a service division into a new company — Outersafe LLC, under Trapp Technology. This company will focus only on security strategy.
“The creation of OuterSafe was afforded through the purchase of ITonCommand. As a result of the acquisition, the former owner of ITonCommand is now able to pursue other ventures,” Capps said.
Trapp Technology’s new client base will have access to the company’s technical and customer support out of the Scottsdale headquarters.
