Scottsdale based IT security provider Lumension and IT infrastructure organizer FrontRange have teamed up and merged to create HEAT Software.
HEAT Software will be headquartered in California with offices staying in Scottsdale where Lumension was formerly headquartered. After the merger, HEAT Software will consist of over 350 employees with about 50 percent of those employees based in Scottsdale, HEAT Software CMO Eric Aarrestad said.
By merging the two companies, customers will realize a decrease in price for products and HEAT will be able to provide IT management and security from a single platform.
Before the merger, Lumension consisted of about 175 employees, Aarrestad said, and all of them are staying on at HEAT Software.
In the past, Lumension won innovator of the year for “large company” at the AZ Tech Council’s 2013 Governor’s Celebration of innovation.
In terms of future plans for growth, HEAT Software is actively looking to recruit new employees both in Scottsdale and at its other locations, Aarrestad said.
