Don’t rush out too soon
USA Today’s Black Friday expert, Matt Granite, says don’t shop on Thanksgiving, and we have to agree. Spend some time with your family and friends, eat some great food and prepare for the actual Black Friday.
Unless you’ve been camping out for a while, you’re probably not going to be able to snag the big-ticket items because the stores usually only carry a few. Instead, use the holiday to relax, and then focus on the deals you have a chance at getting.
Many of the best deals are online
Why camp out when you can shop from your couch. Most of the best deals online include products that come in large quantity. If you’re shopping for tech this holiday season, that rings even more true, because some of the biggest tech retailers are online-only.
If you’re willing to wait for the item to arrive at your doorstep, why not get a good deal online, save yourself the trouble of fighting the crowds and buy it from the comforts of your home?

Waiting for Cyber Monday might save you more
If you’re looking for computer parts or other gadgets and gizmos, waiting for Cyber Monday might be a better idea. You’ll find steeper sales from outlets like Newegg, Tiger Direct and Fry’s Electronics on Monday than you will on Friday. So if you see something you want at an incredible price on Friday, check first to see if it’s available on a better deal Monday.
Though Matt Granite says that if you’re looking for TVs, game consoles or appliances, the best deals are still on Black Friday.
