Pure Chat, a live support and sales software company, has raised $1.5 million dollars in a seed round to continue moving up the hockey stick and help small businesses around the world connect with their customers on-the-go.
With their $250,000 winnings from the Arizona Commerce Authority Innovation Challenge, Pure Chat’s total funding to date is $1.75 million.

Through a three-minute process, a small business owner can sign up and download the Pure Chat widget to their website and start chatting with their customers across multiple mobile platforms – no real tech savvy is needed.
Pure Chat was founded in 2012 and revamped in 2013. Since then, the company has hit milestones earlier than expected Hamid Shojaee, CEO and founder Pure Chat said. The company has realized over two million chats and currently servicing over 1,900 paying customers.
What this raise means to the Pure Chat team? “It means validation for our product,” Shojaee said.
The company intends to use funds to scale the product, expand across the oceans, build out new features and grow the team, Shojaee said. “We’re hiring at Pure Chat!” he exclaimed.

Shojaee said that the majority of the money was raised in Arizona from angel investors.
“I haven’t raised money anywhere else to compare, but I can tell you that raising money in Arizona was hard; much more difficult than I was expecting. It took longer than I expected too. But clearly, it was also possible because we did it!” Shojaee said.
No further details on the raise or investors were offered.
