The entrepreneurial spirit of Phoenix’s west valley is revving up and local businesses are seeking to capitalize on this momentum. Contributing to this combustion is the concept of co-working spaces. Jumpstart, a 10,000 square foot space, located in West Phoenix, will open its doors on Wednesday, May 28 for a lunchtime grand opening from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Jumpstart is a highly community-focused workspace that is dedicated to revitalization efforts in its local community.
Founder of Jumpstart, Sam Macias stated, “ I am a firm believer in servant leadership and championing success in others. It’s a philosophy my father imparted to me and the reason I chose to attend Grand Canyon University’s Ken Blanchard College of Business for my first degree. My idea with Jumpstart is not to become rich, but to enrich the west Phoenix community, one that has a long history of entrepreneurism. I believe this can be accomplished through leading and supporting social and economic development efforts.”
In addition to an all-inclusive workspace, and shared and private office option, they also host workshops to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit. Pricing ranges from $15/day to a “Full Throttle” membership of $225/month.
Macias describes the culture of Jumpstart as “Coworking with a Conscience” as most members are involved in community outreach; Jumpstart also offers free space to civic and non-profit groups for meeting and training spaces.
“Jumpstart’s advantage is that our variant spaces enable us to come alongside our members for the long haul.” says Macias.
