2nd Charity Makeover begins April 5 – techies collaborate for the greater good

Charity Makeover is a non-profit organization that helps other non-profits thrive by donating talent and time to “makeover” everything from their marketing campaigns to website and help them run more effectively.
Sean Tierney, Chief Guru at Automation Gurus and mentor at Seed Spot, created Charity Makeover to bring together a collection of industry leaders, techies and non-profit experts to help non-profits of all kinds reach their ultimate potential. The inaugural Makeover, held on January 11, 2014, benefitted SEEDs for Autism, which provides vocational training for adults with autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. For the next Makeover, Tierney chose Tumbleweed, which serves the homeless and vulnerable youth around the Valley by providing a safe place for youth development and collaboration.
The Makeover sessions consist of volunteers from all skill sets donating their time once-a-month, typically on a Saturday, to work on the non-profit’s (Tumbleweed’s) needs and expanding their reach and awareness.
The 2nd Makeover is scheduled for April 5, 2014 at CO+HOOTS headquarters in downtown Phoenix.

Charity Makeover is gaining interest and support from across the Valley-Infusionsoft recently donated CRM and automation platform software to be used for the charities’ makeovers.
If you are interested in joining, you can submit your info and skill set on the volunteer site; high school and college students can also inquire about possible community service opportunities.
