Kevin Goldman, founder of 29th Drive, the 9 step designer+developer dance – Dec. #FLFPhoenix

At the November Free Lunch Friday, Greg Head, CMO of Infusionsoft, gave a talk about strategically positioning ones’ company for growth to another SOLD OUT crowd at Infusionsoft HQ.
Greg began the talk with explaining how marketing strategies have changed and businesses today are not just selling to their customers anymore, they also need to think in terms of marketing to investors and potential partnerships. Greg drilled it down to the basics and that strategic positioning really comes down to clarity, focus and being the best at what you do. Watch his video for more great advice on small business marketing tactics at AZ Tech Beat TV.
For December, we have another great speaker, founder of 29th Design Kevin Goldman. Kevin will be gearing his talk to CTOs, CEOs and developers at software companies and share 9 practical steps in 20 minutes that will help make design an integrated part of your product. If you are a design team of one with a dev team of 40? You’ll want to be here!
Kevin, a graduate of ASU, has been in industrial design for almost 20 years. He founded Goldman Design in Seattle in 1995, and during his time there he worked on the user interface and design strategy for Microsoft Office’s PowerPoint, and worked closely for years with Scott Guthrie and Scott Hanselman and their teams on a range of design needs for Microsoft’s ASP.NET and IIS groups. Throughout his career, Kevin has worked with clients such as Intergraph, Microsoft, Minitab, Sonos, ORCAS, Cobalt, University of Washington Tacoma, Online Resources and many others to help solve deep usability problems in complicated applications. A cool fun fact about Kevin is that he played bass professionally in Maktub for 14 years-and he still keeps some cool guitars in his office.
