Ducotrax Allows Companies to Track Inventory

Small and medium sized businesses need to analyze every aspect of their companies in order to save money. For this reason, in 2009, Portable Workforce developed Ducotrax, a company that specializes in hardware and software solutions designed to mobilize businesses. Portable Workforce explains that they came up with the concept by listening to their customers say that small and medium businesses were lacking access to inventory data. Portable Workforce was already helping companies collect information on the hardware being sold, but were missing warehouse and inventory visibility. They then created the cloud based SaaS inventory and warehouse management platform Ducotrax. In addition to this creation they integrated Ducotrax with QuickBooks in order to give small and medium businesses the ability to synchronize data between the two systems.
Ducotrax is a cloud based inventory management system that helps streamline business’ inventory. It allows companies to track stock levels in a warehouse, valuables in the field, or even personal items. Charles Keatley, the CEO of Portable Workforce, explains that “We built Ducotrax to replace inefficient and costly processes that SMBs ten to use when keeping track of inventory.” He also states that since they launched the integration with Quickbooks Online they have seen one hundred new clients assessing the product and based on these statistics they are forecasting a high empirical adoption rate.
Some features of Ducotrax include:

  • Inventory – the software focuses on maintaining inventory counts in real-time. This helps with inventory audits because it summarizes all inventory counts and solves many inventory problems and inaccuracies because it gives instant feedback on everything coming in and out of the warehouse.
  • Locations – updates in real-time and can be tracked from anywhere with an internet connection.
  • Transaction History – the system tracks warehouse management efficiencies by providing real-time data like work order completion, material allocation, and the ability to pick, place, and receive data. This allows companies to isolate inaccuracies and address shortfalls.
