Meet CX.com. They are a Scottsdale-based firm providing secure cloud-enabled access, aggregation, and collaboration tools. Their user interface is similar to that of Dropbox or Google Drive. Free accounts include 10GB of free file storage to sync, store, and share all in the cloud. When we asked the CEO, Bradley J. Robertson on how CX.com competes with its major competitors, he identified both security and collaboration as key value indicators. According to Robertson, private groups, real-time chat, full discussion archive, and controlled allocation of shared cloud storage for all group members are additional features of CX.com that the competition does not currently offer. CX.com currently has over 4 million individual and business users, and continues to grow by 30,000 users each week.
Founded in 2010, CX.com was funded with $10 million in capital led by TomorrowVentures, Hanna Capital, and other strategic investors. TomorrowVentures is backed by the leadership of Eric Schmidt (current executive chairman, and former CEO of Google Inc). TomorrowVentures’ stated focus is to grow companies with the ability to transform technology, lifestyle and philanthropy.
