Building a home, one Blok at a time – StartupConnect AZ winner announced

Yesterday seven startups pitched to a panel of local tech experts to fill their shovel with some cash and help them build their business.
In the end, BetR-Blok, a green company that transforms recycled paper into construction materials to build homes, won for their innovation. Co-founder Chris Frettoloso is an Undergraduate student in the Arizona State University School of Sustainability pursuing a concurrent degree in Urban Planning from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is also completing a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the WP Carey School of Business according to the company site. His mission is to “Build homes by saving trees.”
Other startups who competed included, Adora, Ascent Aero Systems, Find Veggies, Neolight, Tipsy and Urepp.
The cash prize is unknown at this time as it was based on ticket sales.
