The weekend will comprise of a combination of networking, a hackathon and a business competition in which teams are evaluated on their prototype, business plan, and validation. Along the way startups will meet like-minded peers, interact with leading entrepreneurs from Tucson, and get the chance to win prizes to take their venture to the next step.
“My first Startup Weekend was transformational. I entered Friday with an idea I had been working on and when I left on Sunday, I had grown as an entrepreneur. From the immense amount of advice I received from the mentors, to the new friendships I developed throughout the weekend, this event became a lot more than just working on an idea.” – Nick Morin, Director of InnovateUA
