Dating – easy or not – we all have our rituals. Some try new activities, go to networking events, log online or giving in to the latest trend of dating apps to find that special someone. While these social dating apps are dime-a-dozen, there are a few that stand out from the crowd.
Grouper
The Grouper app brings together a group of six people for a night of fun and (dare we say it) light-hearted debauchery. Date aspirants start by picking two “wingmen,” pay $20 per person, and are then matched up with another three-person group. The cost pays for the first round of drinks, leaving the rest of the night’s plans up to the freshly acquainted group.
Grouper encourages the daters to begin their night with the game, two truths and a lie. Maybe throw in some dares here or there, tequila shots ensue, and the night is off to a pleasurable start.

Tinder
The Tinder app provides a location-based service for individuals to increase their social interactions. Using Facebook profiles, Tinder gathers information on its users to be able to determine compatibility based on geographical location, number of mutual friends, and common interests.
Users are then able to anonymously “flip through” candidates. A right-swipe means you like the person and a left-swipe means the user has passed on the candidate.

Coffee Meets Bagel
Coffee Meets Bagel dating app is similar to Tinder, in which the app sends a user one match (or Bagel) every day at noon, then individuals will either “like” or “pass” the Bagel. The intention behind being sent a match every day at noon is to give users something to look forward to, something to spice up a person’s lunch break.
This app is perfect for a single individual with a hectic schedule. It’s quick and easy to set up an impromptu date at a nearby coffee shop.
