Phoenix-based digital marketing firm LaneTerralever has announced its 2013 Summit Emerging Media Award (Summit EMA) win of the Innovator Award for its work with Global Rallycross (GRC) in the Sports/Recreation Website category.
Global Rallycross has been working with LaneTerralever to revamp the GRC brand, while creating content that would keep readers engaged throughout the year. The site launched just before the first race of the season and GRC saw the highest number of visits, pageviews, and time on site in the history of their website. LaneTerralever brought the rally and supercross site to life in three weeks using a user experience planning, design, and development cycle.
President of LaneTerralever Chris Johnson told AZTB, “The Global Rallycross web presence was a true passion project for the team and we were incredibly excited to create this for such an amazing up-and-coming motorsport. I think it’s great validation for both our agency and the creative community within Arizona to receive this level of international recognition, and I’m very proud of our team.”
GRC, a revolutionary new form of motorsport, is a cross between rally and supercross. The series has been steadily gaining a following since its official debut in 2010. With big name drivers such as Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and Bucky Lasek, the sport has earned a place touring the world as part of the ESPN X-Games.
The Summit International Awards (SIA) organization is dedicated to furthering creative excellence in the communications industry. It administers three distinguished award competitions throughout the year with the goal of raising the awareness of companies and individuals who have the creative and marketing talent to go beyond the ordinary.
