Venture Madness, an annual conference put on by Invest Southwest, happened this week and we’ve got the winners of the Venture Madness competition.
Venture Madness brings together investors and some of Arizona’s stand out startups for two days of networking and pitching. Earlier this year, Invest Southwest announced 25 finalists — five companies in five categories — to prepare presentations. Most of the finalists are based in Arizona, but there were a few companies from outside the state.
Three companies ended up withdrawing from the competition, so 22 startups spent Thursday pitching, hoping to impress investors and win their category. Each winner will receive a cash prize.
The five categories were Consumer, Medical, SaaS, Tech and Growth. One company will also be awarded the “People’s Choice.” Winners were announced Thursday evening.
The winners are as follows:
Consumer
Winner: Home Key, a product to help homeowners easily manage their homes
Finalists:
Medical
Winner: SaiOX, a breathing device to help treat COPD and significantly reduce overall treatment cost
Finalists:
SaaS
Winner: Better Agency, a CRM system for independent insurance agencies
