Warriors, moles, motorcyclists and turtles were among some of the main characters found within video games showcased at the Arizona Video Game Showcase hosted by Game CoLab at Phoenix Comicon.
From well-known studios such as Rainbow Studios known for their motocross games to indies, 20 Arizona-based game studios came together to demo their latest projects this weekend at the Hyatt Downtown as part of the festivities.

Deathly by AbstrAKT Games – “He thought he was safe, but you can’t escape death” – eventually will be on Steam.
Flub Fighter by Retora – Flub Fighter is a 3-D, action-party game where up to four players fight against each other for flubby dominance. Currently on Steam Greenlight.
Reflections by Broken Windows Studios – Reflections is a real-world adventure game where every action you take has meaningful consequences that radically shape the experience. The studio will be announcing their Steam early access release in June. Their open world horror game GRAVE hit PS4 and Xbox.
Terra Centauri by Krazy Keet Games – Single-player RTS game with RPG elements. Will be available for PC.
Drill Dash by Runner-Up Studios – It’s like Dig-Dug the infinite runner but with a mole. Will be initially available free online, and on iOS and Android for $.99.
MX vs ATV by Rainbow Studios – An intense offroad racing game available on Steam, Xbox, and Playstation!
Aztez by Team Colorblind – In Aztez, you expand and maintain the Aztec empire through turn-based strategy, while managing violent outbreaks via real-time beat ’em up sequences.
Emberscape by Boldly Games – Is a warrior mage who defends a crystal and transforms herself into a living weapon. Expected release in 2016 on PC.
Turtle Boarden by Waden Kane Studios – Turtle Boarden is a crazy blend of fun that involves guiding turtles to target zones, through icy terrains and over terrifying jumps. Multiplayer game, available on iOS November 2015.
RMF by Errborne – A highly competitive action-platformer set in a futuristic gladiatorial sporting world. Showed an art demo.
Wiblits – A “Where is Waldo” type game. Compete with friends and strangers alike in a series of minigames. Join in on the PHXCC game for a chance at $100 dollars! Available now.
Sketchcross by Spiky Fish Games – A nonogram puzzle game available for the Playstation Vita! Try your skill at over 50 puzzles! Available now.
Planet Pilots by Gamezees – A physics based puzzle-action game set in space! Use powerups and skill to destroy the enemies! Available on Steam Greenlight.
Crystal Catacombs by Super Fun Games – A metroidvania style platformer where the player fights through 5 procedurally generated worlds. Available on Steam Greenlight.
Wizards: 1984 by Terrasect Mobile – Shoot up the techno vikings in virtual reality. Available on Google Play and for Google VR Cardboard. Demoing at PHX Comicon.
The Game CoLab Showcase will continue through Saturday at the Hyatt Downtown.
