SF-based Revel Systems expands to Scottsdale bringing jobs

Revel Systems, a San Francisco-based iPad point-of-sale provider, announced their expansion to Scottsdale and adding 160 new jobs over the next three years.
The Revel mantra is to empower merchants by providing a complete end-to-end commerce platform that can fit any size of business. Their systems can be found in enterprise food service and retail companies, such as Dairy Queen and Goodwill, all the way down to the local food truck or coffee shop, and are compatible with Apple Pay and PayPal.

“We are thrilled to continue Revel’s significant growth with our first office in Arizona,” said Lisa Falzone, CEO and co-founder of Revel. “Our ultimate goal is to empower business owners to start and grow their own businesses, making their lives easier along the way. As we continue to expand Revel’s global reach, scaling a talented team of salespeople will be critical to Revel’s continued success.”

This expansion comes on the heels of their recent raises. In November 2014, they secured $100 million Series C funding from New York City-based private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) and other strategic investors. The round included an initial $65 million investment from WCAS and an additional $25 million equity line available from WCAS. In December 2014, Revel Systems expanded to Ireland upon securing a $1.2 million grant from Invest Northern Ireland to open a UK sales and operations center in Belfast.

Newly inaugurated Governor Doug Ducey and CEO and President of the Arizona Commerce Authority Sandra Watson was pleased with Revel’s choice of Arizona, new jobs and providing a platform to help entrepreneurs succeed.
Bobby Marhamat, vice president of sales, said they are building a sales team in Scottsdale to begin their operations and are excited to open the doors. “Revel is building a world-class sales team here in Scottsdale, and we cannot wait to get started,” said Marhamat. “We expect 2015 will bring further interest and expansion in our offering and are excited to leverage Arizona’s vibrant talent pool to extend that momentum.”
The new offices will be located at ASU SkySong in Scottsdale and they have been open since Jan. 12.
