Arizona State University announced the winners of the 2014 Spirit of Enterprise Awards and local tech companies IO and I-ology are among that group.
The Spirit of Enterprise Awards, which are sponsored by ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business, honor companies for their innovation, entrepreneurship and community impact. There are five different awards given out every year in a variety of categories.

IO, a Phoenix-based data center company with a global reach, was given the Emerging Enterprise Award. The company recently sold a data center for more than $100 million dollars. Its clients include businesses like Goldman-Sachs.
I-ology, a woman-owned web design company with a unique approach to community involvement and internal management, received the Gary L. Trujillo Minority Enterprise Award. Founded in 1998, the Scottsdale-based business provides a wide range of benefits and options to its employees.
