Telesphere, the nation’s leading provider of cloud-based communications services for businesses, is appearing on the national hit television show “Tanked,” Friday, April 4, at 9 p.m. in Arizona (10 p.m. ET/PT). “Tanked” features the work of Telesphere customer Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM), the premier builder of acrylic tanks, whose award-winning installations are known worldwide.
The “Big Reveal” in this “Tanked” episode was filmed before a live audience at a pre-eminent communications conference and exhibition last month in Las Vegas. The aquarium is being permanently installed this week at Telesphere’s Scottsdale headquarters.
The massive 8-foot-tall, 3,200 pound aquarium is creatively constructed in the shape of a larger-than-life telephone. Modeled to resemble the latest high-definition business phones, it is unlike any other aquarium in the world. Buried treasure of encased phone parts provides the backdrop inside the tank for exotic fish that inhabit the 300-gallon display.
“The world’s largest telephone tank was revealed as a unique way to promote Telesphere’s MobileConnect, the ultimate collaboration tool for businesses,” said Kristi Brown, Vice President of Marketing at Telesphere. The aquarium was commissioned to officially launch MobileConnect, Telesphere’s newest award-winning multi-media collaborative service that integrates the advanced features of a desktop computer with the user’s own smart phone or tablet.
Brown stated, “MobileConnect is a collaboration tool that truly integrates mobility for the user unlike any other solution, and we wanted the launch of this product to be just as unique. We chose our wildly imaginative long-time clients and huge supporters, Wayde King and Brett Raymer with their Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM) team, to bring it to life. The whole process was incredible. We are submitting to the Guinness Book of World Records for consideration as the largest phone aquarium in the world, and we are excited to offer customers this amazing tool that will drive efficiency throughout any enterprise, regardless of the employee’s location or communication device of choice.”
Telesphere CEO, Clark Peterson said “It was a very creative way to partner with one of our own customers, ATM, to launch our newest product, MobileConnect. It was a lot of fun working with Wayde King, Brett Raymer and their entire staff to produce our incredible, larger-than-life phone tank.”
