At ShowStoppers CES 2014, FLIR ONE launched the first personal thermal imaging device for your iPhone. Originally developed for military night vision, consumers can now use this product for home protection or improvement, outdoor recreation, safety or to sneak up on your cat.

The FLIR ONE has the ability to detect and visualize heat, including minute differences in temperature with a scene range of 32 to 212 degrees F and an operating temperature range of 32 to 113 degrees F. The imager fits over your iPhone 5 or 5S like a case and will be available in grey, white or gold and can be used on a full charge for about two hours. The device is paired with the FLIR ONE MX app that allows the user to capture thermal images and video, has a temperature read, color pallets and can share on social channels.
The FLIR ONE sticker price is $349 and will be available in Spring of 2014. The software development kit to develop FLIR ONE apps will be available in Q1 of 2014.
