Developers, entrepreneurs, creatives, money and more, all come together at the 2013 Startup Weekend Tempe hosted by the ASU Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group (formerly Venture Catalyst) located at the AREA48 Formation Space.
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. Events can be found in cities around the world, from Canada to Brazil to South Africa.
The format goes like this: the event is open to the public, people come and pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from the audience. Talent will gel together around top ideas (as rated by their peers) and then it’s 54 hours of creative, coding, designing and marketing frenzy to culminate ideas and put together a pitch to present to a panel of local experts and entrepreneurs for critical feedback.
The event starts Friday, September 6, at 6:30 p.m. and the networking begins; final presentations are given on Sunday September 8, at 5:00 p.m.
Whether you are a founder, engineer, creative, or a person with an idea, sign up for some awesome and exciting organized startup chaos and put your talents and ideas to work. You never know, you just might become a founder in a company this weekend.
There is still time to sign up, so do it here.
AZ Tech Beat will see you there.
