Drupal Camp Phoenix is a 2-day conference starting Friday, March 8, organized by professional Drupal organizations to promote and advance the Drupal community in Arizona and the Southwest region. The event brings together local professionals interested in learning about web content management and expanding his or her skills in web development.
Drupal is a free, open-source content management system (CMS) written in the PHP programming language. Drupal Camps are community sharing and training events, and Drupal Camp Phoenix is an attendee-driven, volunteer initiative modeled after the open, participatory nature of Bar Camps. The event is free, and catered to everyone from curious beginners to designers, developers, and business owners.
Last year, about 120 people registered for Drupal Camp Phoenix, which offered more than 20 educational sessions. This year the event offers more than 30 sessions ranging from beginner to expert experience levels, and the session tracks include business, development, site building, hosting/performance/infrastructure, higher education, design, project management, and a special track for those brand new to Drupal.
