Beepi partners with UBER for a ride home

Beepi, a leading peer-to-peer marketplace that allows customers to seamlessly buy and sell their car from the comfort of their home, has teamed up with Uber to give the first 100 sellers on the platform $350 worth of free rides home.
The company rolled out this promotion in 14 cities, Phoenix and Tucson included, and is targeted to medium to heavy users of Uber.
CEO and co-founder Beepi Alejandro Resnik said he chose Uber versus other rideshare platforms because, “Like Uber, Beepi is the leader in disrupting an antiquated industry by offering people a fantastic experience from start to finish.”

To obtain Uber credits, customers need to use the promotion code UBERON, sign-up for an inspection by January 15, 2016, finalize the sale of their car on Beepi and the customer needs to spend $1,000 or more on Uber rides during 2016 to realize the credit, according to the Beepi blog.

“It’s easier to spend $1,000 than you might think,” a company spokesperson said, “To spend $1,000 over the course of a year amounts to about $20 a week on Uber, or three short rides a week.” Uber will help keep track of the customer’s spending throughout the year.
“If you would rather take an Uber than drive your own car, Beepi will help you sell it with a process as easy as riding with Uber,” Resnik said.
Since our last report, Beepi has launched their iOS mobile app that allows customers to buy and sell a used car on-the-go. Customers can also purchase a car by using “Apple Pay or credit cards to buy a car in minutes from wherever they are, their couch or even another dealership,” a company spokesperson said.
Beepi was founded in 2013. To date, the company has raised $79.2 million, the most recent being a $60 million Series B led by Foundation Capital and SherpaVentures who joined existing investors.
