CO+HOOTS announces Spring 2016 expansion plans

CO+HOOTS, downtown Phoenix’s largest co-working community, is expanding to midtown Phoenix.
The No. 2-ranked co-working space in the nation (No. 9-ranked in the world) is adding a second location at 221 E. Indianola. Set to open in Spring 2016 near the light rail and in the heart of Phoenix’s next development reawakening, the 14,000 sq. ft. space will offer more than 20 private offices, an open co-working area, two community classrooms, an open event space, shaded parking and a lounge.

“Our second location will be much larger, measuring at 14,000 square feet — three times the size to do 10 times the impact,” CO+HOOTS Founder Jenny Poon said. “The new space will benefit up to 1,000 people — entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers as well as those in startups, mid-level nonprofits and small businesses. It will also allow us to teach 1,000 kids how to code, host 400 community and business education programs and events, support the growth of scaling companies that will add hundreds more local jobs, and turn the Central Corridor into a breeding ground for the Valley’s most talented innovators.”

This is the third time in five years of existence CO+HOOTS has had to find and fill a bigger building due to capacity issues.
