Uber's Steve Thompson to discuss UX/UI design at PHX Tech Talk – July 15

On July 15, Steve Thompson, general manager for Uber Phoenix, will speak at PHX Tech Talk and discuss software development for Uber’s new UX/UI design and the ever-growing development of the company. Thompson will also delve into balancing external product development with internal product development in order to simplify the large influx of Uber’s data.

“Uber’s been one of the most disruptive businesses in the last decade and their product is one of the most sophisticated, yet incredibly simple pieces of software I’ve seen in a while,” said Brad Jannenga, president and CTO of WebPT and founder and host of PHX Tech Talk. “I’m excited to learn more about their approach to software development and strategy for delivering their product to market.”
The event will be held in the 111 W Monroe Building and will start at 5 p.m. with a “Chug & Grub” session and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Then an open forum discussion will occur at 7 p.m. and a happy hour will follow the discussion.
