CourseTalk, the leading search and discovery platform for learners to explore the broadest array of online courses, has announced a partnership with Parchment, a leading technology company in Scottsdale whose digital credentials platform makes it easy for people to request, verify and share their educational and professional credentials online. The new partnership aims to help first-time college-bound students find coursework of interest and read reviews before they signup.

In a unique collaboration, CourseTalk will integrate Parchment’s proprietary college prediction tool, College Chances, into students’ CourseTalk profiles allowing them to immediately weigh their chances of being admitted into their desired colleges and universities. Since many college-bound students use CourseTalk to explore online courses from top universities, this value-added integration will inform their selection of online classes, and also their application strategy for colleges.

For example, a student interested in applying to MIT can explore the class experience through CourseTalk’s ratings and leverage the college predictions tool to determine whether they might be admitted into their desired college. Parchment provides an innovative online solution with their college predictions tool that empowers students to know their chances of college acceptance based on data within their academic records.

“CourseTalk is another like-minded technology company that focuses on empowering students to realize their education goals,” said Matthew Pittinsky, CEO of Parchment. “By integrating Parchment’s novel prediction engine, students can make even more informed decisions and control of their future by determining their best college options early on.”

Students, parents, and college advisors will now have the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of suitable options for a high school student who is awaiting acceptance into a college or university. Weighing your options is now easier than ever!
