appsFreedom, the leading provider of model-driven, agile platform-as-a-service, today announced it has won the 2014 Red Herring Top 100 North America Award, a prestigious recognition of the leading private companies from the Americas.

appsFree-1Red Herring Top 100 America enlists outstanding entrepreneurs and promising companies. It selects 100 award winners from among the approximately 3,000 tech startups financed each year in the US and Canada. Since 1996, Red Herring editors were among the first to recognize that companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Salesforce.com, YouTube, Palo Alto Networks and eBay would change the way we live and work.

“I am honored and very pleased to accept this award on behalf of the entire appsFreedom team. After having gone through Red Herring’s extensive evaluation process, it only further validates our approach and mission to enable IT organizations across industries to mobile-enable their enterprise,” said Vaidy Iyer, CEO of appsFreedom.

CEO Vaidy Iyer

Iyer expressed to AZTB that there are three factors that have contributed to appsFreedom being named a finalist and an eventual winner by Red Herring:

1. Technology & Innovation: We have the most technologically advanced and comprehensive platform to mobile enable an enterprise. We enable non-programmers in an IT organization to develop mobile or web apps (fully integrated to their core IT applications like ERP, CRM, manufacturing, supply-chain, etc.) and mobile enable their enterprise very quickly with a rapid ROI.

2. Customer Value: Using our platform, organizations can mobile enable their employees in as little as 5 days. Furthermore, it allows the customer’s IT organization to respond faster than ever to their business needs, thereby increasing efficiency and providing a competitive edge to their business.

3.  Business Model: Our business model is very simple and centered around customer value as well. It a simple user-based subscription model, and customers pay only when they generate value for their organizations by rolling out apps.

appsFreedom is a company dedicated to their mission of putting customer value and product innovation before profits, and Iyer believes it has “helped us distinguish appsFreedom from our competition.”

The future of the company looks bright, with a major product release on the horizon. “We anticipate a great growth trajectory going forward,” expressed Iyer.
