An event designed for C-level execs, entrepreneurs, influencers and students is coming May 6, 2014 to the Tempe Center for the Arts. Microchip President and CEO Steve Sanghi will speak at the TiE Arizona’s Global Thought Leader Lecture and share his thoughts and perspectives about entrepreneurship in a global economy.

Sanghi has been widely recognized for his ability to create a culture of innovation and leadership. He also co-wrote a book that provided an insightful account of his company’s story and culture “Driving Excellence: How the Aggregate System Turned Microchip Technology from a Failing Company to a Market Leader.”

“As the world continues its progression toward a knowledge economy, technology is going to play a more dominant role in Arizona’s economy,” said Sanghi. “In order to build a lasting business in this environment, entrepreneurs must focus on creating a strong culture that encourages innovation as the foundation of their organizations, while forming strategic alliances with others for mutual gain and competitive advantage. I look forward to providing the attendees of TiE’s annual thought-leader lecture with practical insights that they can employ in building a world-class company that will thrive in the knowledge economy.”

Last year at the inaugural event, former CEO and Chairman of Intel, Dr. Craig Barrett spoke to over 150 attendees, and this year the event is expected to draw a larger crowd-it’s encouraged to get your spot as seats are limited. A private reception and dinner is also available for TiE Charter Members.

“High praise is due to Steve for creating a values-based culture at Microchip that has produced such remarkable growth,” said TiE President Robert Wallace, EVP of Venture Services, Tallwave. “This event presents a rare opportunity for our members and the entrepreneurial community at large to hear his insight on real-world solutions gained from his hard-earned experience. We’re honored to have him as our special guest.”
