ViaWest opens new Phoenix Data Center Feb. 19th
ViaWest, the leading colocation, managed services, and cloud provider in North America, has announced the opening of its latest data center in Phoenix. The data center has been engineered with the latest in UPS power equipment and energy-efficient cooling systems to support both production and disaster recovery.
ViaWest is one of the few providers in the market that can offer a full set of infrastructure-as-a-service solutions – including Cloud, colocation, managed services and disaster recovery. The team has seen tremendous growth in the region – everything from companies choosing Phoenix for disaster recovery, re-locations from the California market, and full production applications who require a top-tier data center and ecosystem of services.
The Arizona market expansion will be led by industry veteran Chris Parsons, formerly regional vice president of Internap Network Services, who has been appointed regional vice president and general manager for ViaWest. “Chris has 20 years of leadership experience in technology sales, 10 of them in the Phoenix market. His knowledge of the local business community and experience opening data centers position him to build the ViaWest brand in Phoenix and beyond,” states Christopher Rajiah, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Some of the features the data center will offer include multiple medium voltage utility power feeds, fault tolerant UPS capacity, on-site chilled water storage for continuous cooling, and industry leading customer service and support.
