Startup Weekend comes to Phoenix February 21-23

Startup Weekend is launching an event in Phoenix on the weekend of February 21-23 to bring together entrepreneurs, designers, developers and startup enthusiasts.
Attendees have 54 hours to take innovative business ideas from the initial spark to business launch. Local CEOs, founders and startup veterans will be on hand to work with the teams and help provide expertise based on their experiences in the fast-paced world of startups.
“This is going to be an awesome weekend for the Phoenix startup community,” said Zach Ferres, one of the local volunteer organizers. “It’s great to see the experienced vets and companies donate their time and money to help grow the community. The whole concept, to build and launch a business in less than 54 hours, is a really exhilarating challenge.”
On Friday night, attendees will pitch their ideas to the group in 60 seconds or less. Teams break off and the work begins as concepts, prototypes and products come together in less than 54 hours. On Sunday, teams present their ideas in front of a panel of judges who will award prizes, including technical assets, consulting, and more, intended to help teams build their startups after the weekend. Around 50 participants are expected to partake over the weekend; additionally, there are limited tickets available to the public for viewing the presentations on Sunday night.
Date/Time: Friday, February 21st at 6:30 PM to Sunday, February 23rd at 9:00 PM
Location: 688 W 1st Street, suite #2, Tempe, AZ 85281.
