Breaking News-GoDaddy Acquires Ronin, an online invoicing company
GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain name Web hosting and new SSL certificate provider, announced today the acquisition of Ronin, an online invoicing company. The acquisition, which was completely under the radar since April, has been fully integrated into GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping in order to help small business owners simplify and organize their finances and get back to business.
Ronin, founded by Lu Wang, created a user-friendly invoicing product by taking the complexities out of the process for small businesses trying to get paid by their clients.
This acquisition is now five in 15 months, including Outright, M.dot, Locu, Afternic. Read about those acquisitions here at AZTB. Each acquisition has a clear strategy to not only help the small business owner thrive, but make their daily tasks easier and manageable and drive home the message of “It’s go time” (seen below).
GoDaddy Senior Vice President, Business Applications Steven Aldrich comments on the acquisition, “One of our primary goals is to make the ‘business of business’ easy, and GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping does that by taking the headache out of knowing their numbers. Our customers love our product – but they wanted us to provide invoicing capabilities.
“We knew Ronin provided an unparalleled experience, so we started discussions. It soon became clear – we needed the team at Ronin to be on our team and we needed to seamlessly integrate invoicing into our product. The end result is GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping.”
Founder of Ronin Lu Wang comments, “GoDaddy and Ronin share a vision of giving small businesses the best tools to succeed online. The ease and speed of integrating with GoDaddy’s culture and technology, combined with the ability to reach 12 million customers, is a tremendous opportunity. Joining the GoDaddy team has given us the access to the resources and smart people who we’ve wanted.”
Financial terms of the Ronin acquisition were not disclosed.
