The Arizona Technology Council will be hosting the state’s first ever Startup Connect AZ 2013. This high-energy conference will focus on stimulating Arizona’s expanding startup community and funding the ecosystem to increase economic growth. It will be a full day of education, networking, and a discussion of a variety of topics revolving around technology, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and funding.
Startup Connect AZ will feature four breakout sessions, focusing on several of the fastest growing startup markets in Arizona, including: health and bio technology, education technology and STEM, clean technology, and eCommerce and software-as-a-service. Each of these breakout sessions will be led by speakers and panelists representing Arizona organizations.
Arizona startups from each industry are invited to enter a pitch contest where they’ll have the opportunity to win a grand prize cash fund estimating from $7,000 to $10,000.

Scott Salkin, CEO & Founder of IDS Technology Marketing and co-chair of the Arizona Technology Council’s Startup and Entrepreneurship Committee shares, “Our hope is that the Startup Connect AZ Conference can be a catalyst for fusion – an opportunity to bring together folks from all corners of Arizona’s startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem to learn, network, hear each other’s stories, and develop a unified call-to-action. Today, Arizona is being recognized not just nationally, but internationally for our ability to regrow our economy through new markets and innovation and our ability to attract new jobs and businesses. The state’s tech and startup ecosystem has played a tremendous role.”
StartupConnect AZ is excited to welcome London & Partners, the official promotional organization for London, to present a success story on the growth of Tech City and insight on how organizations from Arizona and across the US have extended their presence to international markets. More information can be found at www.londonandpartners.com.
The conference takes place December 18, 2013 from 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
