Arizona’s largest growth exhibition, The MIT Enterprise Forum Phoenix and Arizona Commerce Authority Innovation Arizona Summit, will take place on Tuesday, June 11th at the Tempe Center of the Arts from 3 to 8 p.m.
The Innovation Arizona Summit plans to get all growth organizations together to meet hundreds of entrepreneurs. It will offer a one-stop exhibition for entrepreneurs to meet with accelerators, incubators, education groups and advisors.
“There is a record number of new incubators setting up programs and collaborative workspaces throughout the state, and there are several accelerators focused on growth,” MIT Enterprise Forum Phoenix Program Chair Jamie Glass said, “Entrepreneurs need to know which service, program, institution can help them.”
Phoenix is entering an exciting time for early stage businesses, and there are a tremendous amount of resources available that did not exist a few years ago.
“We teamed up with Arizona Commerce Authority to make the biggest impact possible and bring everyone together to network, learn, share, collaborate in one place,” Glass said, “Then we threw in some food, drinks and entertainment.”
The event will have Breakout Entrepreneur Education presentations as well as talks from local entrepreneurs such as: Lobodos Ventures Michael Wolf , serial entrepreneurs and investors Tom Blondi, Bill Miller and Rick Gibson, members of the Arizona Commerce Authority, TASER’s Rick Smith and Contatta’s Pat Sullivan.
A number of exhibitors are attending, including the Arizona Technology Council, Infusionsoft, Executives Network, Arizona Technology Investor Forum, Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation, Tallwave, Arizona Small Business Association, Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, Arizona Center for Innovation, Traklight, ASU LeRoy Eyring Center for Solid State Science, Mac6, Propel Arizona and Tiempo Development.
“I had a vision that if we could bring everyone together in one place to learn about the incredible depth and richness of resources committed to entrepreneurs, then we all win,” said Glass.
MIT Enterprise Forum Phoenix is the Arizona chapter of the global, nonprofit MIT Enterprise Forum. It is a community of volunteers sharing resources, knowledge and a passion for entrepreneurship. Their goal is to build a community, connect technology entrepreneurs with capital, talent, industry experts and advisers and to make the commercialization of technology faster and easier.
Since 2009, they have hosted more than 50 events and continue to work to bring entrepreneurs together to connect growth resources with industry experts and advisors.
“We all strive to grow Arizona’s entrepreneur economy,” Glass said. “The Forum focuses on networking, inspiration and education.”
